With a growing team and an exciting line-up of projects coming up, they are looking for an experienced Works Manager to join the team.

Your role

As Works Manager, you will be responsible for delivering post-occupancy works including defect rectification, maintenance, and small works projects.

Success in this role is achieved through efficiently managing defect liability period (DLP) works, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring all works are delivered safely by following safety procedures, and delivering work on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

You will play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships by providing timely updates and ensuring a seamless service experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and deliver post-occupancy works, service requests, maintenance, and minor works projects.
  • Complete and close out DLP items within required timeframes.
  • Undertake minor works or coordinate trades to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Assist with pricing, estimating materials and labour, and coordinating subcontractor quotes.
  • Supervise and manage subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery of works.
  • Provide technical advice and clear direction to trades on site.
  • Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and provide timely updates to clients on work progress.
  • Drive continuous improvement and uphold MPA values across all activities.
  • Take reasonable care for the Safety & Wellbeing of yourself and others in the work environment.  
  • Adhere to the principals, policies, objectives, and targets established to support Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality outcomes.

About you

  • 3–5 years' experience in the construction industry
  • Trade qualification with Cert IV in Building & Construction (desirable)
  • Experience managing maintenance, defects, or small works projects
  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ compliance and site safety practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Proficient with construction systems (e.g. Procore, 1Breadcrumb) and Microsoft Office
  • White Card and First Aid.
