This NHS trust hospital operates across multiple sites, providing a range of services to its local communities, with 1.5 million patient interactions each year, handled by around 14,000 dedicated team members.
Purpose:
- Delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients, ensuring their needs are met and maintaining excellent standards of care.
- Collaborating effectively with immediate and multidisciplinary teams, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
- Upholding a duty of care and adhering to clinical governance, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.
- Keeping up-to-date with nursing and medical knowledge, contributing to personal development and the advancement of nursing practice.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the following:
- Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care based on evidence-based practices.
- Maintaining exceptional standards of care and involving patients, relatives, carers, and friends in the care process.
- Providing health education, promoting well-being, and ensuring clear and accurate communication.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to meet patients' needs and taking the initiative when necessary.
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff members, demonstrating leadership and clinical excellence.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations, infection control procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality and dignity.
- Actively participating in initiatives to enhance nursing practice and support positive change.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse
- Awareness and understanding of current acute health issues.
- Proficiency in dispensing and administering oral and IV medication.
- Ability to manage and prioritize conflicting workloads, adapt to changing situations, and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
- Drive and determination to achieve objectives, while functioning effectively under pressure.
- Computer literacy skills and a willingness to embrace digital advancements in healthcare.
Proven record in teaching, mentoring, or supervising others (desirable).
